[Review] Flipflop Wines

With flipflop wines, we have embraced the movement toward individualistic expression, instead of manufacturing wines into some cookie-cutter style that’s all the rage. Our goal is to craft expressive, well-balanced wines that evoke just what the grapes inside intended, without being over-wrought or over-explained, and that can be enjoyed at any occasion. David Georges, Vintner While working at an organic vegetable farm in the Mt. Shasta region of California, David discovered the art of grape growing. After planting a small vineyard on the farm, he was fascinated with wine, from managing the vineyard to tasting the fruits of his labor. Inspired to learn more, David attended the University of California at Davis first to study viticulture, and then added winemaking coursework as well. David honed his winemaking skills at well-known California wineries including Artesa and Davis Bynum. In 2009, David began working on the wines that would become the inaugural vintage of flipflop. His goal is to stay true to each wine’s varietal character, and to make great tasting wines that don’t break the bank. Find them on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube!

I got to try 3 of there wines, which was a very awesome opportunity! I am a wine nut. I love trying new wines out tell I find that perfect one. Which I seriously think I just found! To bad the closest place available is in the next town 15 minutes away. My favorite one is the green one the Pinot Grigio my brother in law and I tried this one, his first reaction was WOW, and he normally prefers red over white/color! He said it was really good, reminded him of sour green candy! I really liked it too. I could not put it down at all. I just kept sipping on it. I really just found my favorite wine flavor ever, OMG its just so good. Then the yellow bottle the Riesling was pretty good too. Like how its a Washington wine, like where I live so was pretty cool to try. I was born and raised in California though! It says sweet which would to other people, but I thought it was dry flavor more of. I drink my wine warm so that might effect my taste buds. The purple bottle the Pinot Noir was my husbands bottle to try. His first reaction after a sip was like this is very different then most red wines. He was shocked on the flavor and how the after taste was. He likes to mix his wines in like sierra mist or 7up hehe. It was even good in that too! In all this company has really yummy wine! Flavor, taste, and I LOVE how the bottles are color coded thats really cool! This can be found in Haggens so far in Washington we found out. We seen it before just never tried it. I think this is like woman kind of wine, I notice men like red over white. I like white over red. I really enjoyed this opportunity alot! They have really sweet customer service OMG, they are a very nice company. They ship your bottles very well protected in Styrofoam top and bottom. Then they ask for your ID upon delivery! Everything about the company and the packaging is perfect!
