If You Care was conceived of as a brand of environmentally friendly kitchen and household products. The first If You Care products were unbleached coffee filters, and they were launched in 1990. These were the first unbleached coffee filters in the U.S. Parchment Baking Paper and Baking Cups soon followed. All of the paper products were unbleached and totally chlorine-free. In 2004, the very first Aluminum Foil made from 100% recycled aluminum was launched. This product featured a 95% energy savings compared to conventional aluminum foil. Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil for grilling and barbecuing, also from 100% recycled aluminum, was introduced in 2007. That same year, waxed paper, from unbleached paper coated with soybean wax was launched. In 2009, two new products are being launched in the fourth quarter – 100% carbon neutral fire starters, made from FSC certified wood and vegetable oil, and sandwich and snack bags made from unbleached greaseproof paper. Many new products in a wide variety of categories are being planned and developed in the coming years.
Recycled Aluminum Foil: If You Care Aluminum Foil is made with 100% recycled aluminum. While traditional foil manufacturing is a power-intensive process, ours uses 95% less energy to produce. Because there is no need to mine, our production creates less waste, while reusing a precious resource. If You Care 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil can be recycled again, providing your local recycling center accepts aluminum foil. Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil: The same energy savings as our Regular Foil, only our Heavy Duty Foil is thicker, stronger and wider. Perfect for the BBQ, grill and oven. Parchment Baking Paper: These premium quality unbleached, greaseproof papers are perfect for a wide variety of baking and cooking needs. While some baking papers are coated with Quilon, which contains heavy metals like chromium that can be toxic when incinerated, If You Care Parchment Paper uses Silicone, derived from a natural element. It’s a much more expensive process, but one we feel is worth it for everyone. But perhaps most importantly, our baking papers use no chlorine in their production. And that means no chlorine is dumped into our lakes and streams. Parchment Baking Sheets: The pre-cut version of our award winning Parchment Baking papers. Manufactured using the same attention toward high-quality, non-toxic materials – Chlorine and Quilon free – If You Care Parchment Baking Sheets are available in 24 sheets to a roll. Baking Cups: Made from the same material as our parchment papers, If You Care Baking Cups use premium quality unbleached greaseproof paper. Our baking cups use no chlorine in their production. And that means no chlorine is dumped into our lakes, rivers and streams. Available in three sizes – Mini (90 cups; 1.625in/4.14cm), Large (60 cups; 2.5in/6.35cm), and Jumbo (24 cups; 3.5in/8.89cm). FSC Certified Coffee Filters: Our very first products hold a special place in our hearts. If You Care Cone Filters are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified unbleached totally chlorine-free (TCF) paper. Since no chlorine or chlorine derivatives were used to produce these filters, no chlorine or chlorine derivatives get dumped into our lakes, rivers and streams. Our coffee filters feature a strong “never break” double seam, which assures the strength and integrity of the filters. These coffee filters are designed to give lovers of freshly ground coffee maximum pleasure while having the least possible environmental impact. Coffee Filters: If You Care Basket Filters are made from unbleached paper, contain no artificial fibers and are totally chlorine-free (TCF). Since no chlorine or chlorine derivatives were used to produce these filters, no chlorine or chlorine derivatives get dumped into our lakes, rivers and streams. Our coffee filters will not affect the taste of your coffee. But they will, of course, reduce the amount of pollution in our environment. Waxed Paper: Just like your mom’s old favorite – only better! Made from unbleached paper and coated with 100% natural soybean wax, it’s ideal for wrapping foods without affecting flavor. Conventional waxed paper is coated with paraffin wax – a petroleum based product. Soybean wax is clean, safe, non-toxic, biodegradable, and comes from a renewable and sustainable resource grown by American farmers, giving them an economical use for their soybean surplus. Cheesecloth: One of the newer products in the If You Care family, our cheesecloth is manufactured with the strict quality and careful environmental standards you’ve come to expect. Made with unbleached cotton, If You Care Cheesecloth is ideal for cooking, basting, straining and more. It may be boiled and used in microwaves and since it contains no toxic chemicals, it will not affect the taste or safety of your food. If You Care Cheesecloth is recyclable, providing your local recycling center accepts textiles. Twine: Just like If You Care Cheesecloth, If You Care Cooking Twine is made with unbleached cotton. It is ideal for forming roasts, trussing poultry, curing meats and more. And since it contains no artificial fibers or toxic chemicals, it will not affect the taste or safety of your food. Snack and Sandwich Bags: Made in Sweden from the unbleached pulp of Scandinavian spruce trees – a natural, renewable resource – If You Care Snack and Sandwich Bags are greaseproof, and provide a natural barrier which prevents grease or fat from penetrating. They are not treated with petroleum based paraffin wax or any other wax. Like all of our If You Care paper products, these snack and sandwich bags are totally chlorine-free, as a result of which, no chlorine is dumped into our lakes, rivers and streams. This was a fun package to open. This package has beat my weight on packages Ive gotten so far this year. I gave some of these things to a friend of mine because I couldn’t use them all and she would! Her and I enjoyed trying these environment products out! I enjoyed the gloves and the basket coffee filters alot. The cupcakes are nice too. OMG especially the mini ones how cool is that. My husband enjoyed the fire lighters in the BBQ. What I really enjoyed about these, are they recycles and clean free from bad chemicals. They are also better for your food to consume in them when cooking with them. My cupcakes sure tasted alot fresher then it would if I used the foil ones eww.. The twine and cheesecloth was very good quality lasted a long time and very durable! The foils and wax paper and baking sheets were fun to use as well. All these products are nice, long lasting and very durable. They are recycled and chlorine-free. I also got a shirt as well. That was a fun surprise too. I always love big shirts for my PJ’s It was washed a bunch and still looks like new! I used the gloves on doing house work and we are remolding our upstairs, helped keep those toxins off my hands and on the gloves! I really liked seeing the gloves, and the firelighters. The company ships fast, Even though I didn’t know I was getting for sure!
