About them: Graeter’s is now the only commercial ice cream manufacturer anywhere in the world to use French Pot freezers, and its two-gallon batches are the smallest in the industry. The original plant in Mt Auburn had only four French Pots. The new plant in Bond Hill has 32 French Pot Freezers running day and night to keep up with demand.
My household loves ice cream and it generally doesn’t last very long because it is loved so much! When I had the opportunity to try out Graeter’s Ice Cream I was super excited. I mean, what a better way to spend Mother’s Day then with ice cream and my family! Throw in the fact that this Graeter’s Ice Cream is phenomenal and its the perfect way to celebrate. I love that these are handcrafted. I think it tastes so much better than ice cream that is just made in huge factories and such. These are made one batch at a time and you can taste it in each and every bite. The first one we tried out was the Mint Chocolate Chip and I can tell you it is the absolute best store bought Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream I have ever had! Mint Chocolate Chip has always been one of my favorite ice creams and this one takes the cake! They use gourmet chocolate chips and pure peppermint oil and it is just to die for! I would like to have tried every flavor but I allowed my kids to pick the next flavor we tried and they picked out the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. This one is definitely one you must try! It is one of their signature flavors and is made with black raspberries from Oregon’s Willamette Valley and gourmet chocolate chips. This is one of their best sellers and I can see why! These are both absolutely delicious and my kids and I were happy to indulge in them! They are great for everyday consumption and would make a great gift to mom this Mother’s Day.
