Nokia phones have always been my favorite I kinda grew up on them throughout my years and recently after having the 920 lumia phone I moved to the 1020 Phone. I was happy to switch to this new phone after the 920 crashed on me after a year in. Loosing the flash 3 months in, than the screen started to flicker, then it would freeze and I couldn’t do a master reset, then I dropped it, and the screen cracked into pieces, and then shortly after that the whole phone crashed and never turned on. Minus all that mishap the phone was a good phone. I use it 247 for my job, more so then anyone else, because of what I do daily in media relations.

My Nokia Lumia 1020 Phone is something that is around me 247. Taking pictures of products for my job, answering emails, contacting companies, and of course all the other things we use phones for. This camera is a life savor and I love it. The flash and camera are all protected in plastic so no worries of losing the flash piece, and the camera itself sticking. Minus my daily job, I use the camera for taking pictures of wildlife and nature to enter in fairs so I need a good camera that I can rely on. This phone comes with a different camera app then the other phones do making it like a DSLR with 41 MP.

This is a picture I got with the Nokia Camera with mild filter and as you can see some reflections in the raindrops of our house, it only took me 20 minutes to get and as you can see it takes wonderful pictures outdoors.

This is a picture of a flower I got outdoors, with the camera when we were visiting in California over the past week. So works great in all-weather conditions of course. This is a super close up without zoom and you can see loads of details in the flowers.

This is indoors with the camera without flash and lots of patience finding the right setting on the phone and indoors. The is a 3 mirror reflection idea and the phone did an awesome job of course.

This was taken before we headed to Seattle for my birthday event. This was super fun and being taken from someone else, it does just as good when taken all ways.

This picture was taken from my car, when a storm was about to nail us and since it was taken while moving. through glass, it can handle well with movement off all kinds..

Snow Day
Snow Day

This is my youngest W and he loves playing in the snow. As you can see in the image it grabs lots of detail, snow falling, kid, snowman, and everything else when there is tons of movement when snapping. I am a photographer of 11 years using a Canon T2i so having something alternative to use at any given time is awesome.

This camera works like all the older models with just some minor changes. Bigger camera, better settings, DSLR options and so forth. The phone is a bit heavier, the screen is a bit bigger, comes with a rope to hold phone (comes in handy). Comes in three colors. Bit more pricey, but has same apps, home page looks, browser and so forth. Great phone and I love it over the 920. I mostly care about in a phone is the camera, email and social networks and my kids like using the games.

The battery life on this phone being used many times a day lasts about a day. If I don’t use it much games, screen, camera I get about a day and half. The charging of this phone is odd. It works super fast in a wall charger, but with a car, USB charger it takes hours to charge, but the battery holding time is the same, so odd I think. Talking is clear and hearing is clear same volume option up to ten, but used in-car on Bluetooth or through AUX you get more volume. The phone is a bit heavier so they give you one those ropes that is leather for holding it when out your pocket or purse so that is handy, I don’t know how many times that saved me from dropping the phone. The color is like matte so it is smooth but not shiny. Its pretty durable, dropped it a few times and only the edges have been indented. The camera area is all metal so it stays cold. Phone comes with some accessories for the camera to make it easier to use, and for acting like a tripod for steadier pictures. The one thing I thought was a drag was it wont take 920 flat chargers it has its own the square one, so I couldn’t use my old one, I miss the not having to plug anything into it. The zoom is great on the camera, but not that great, it still has blurry issues, pictures don’t turn out that good, and you need a super steady hand. It’s great for outdoors or for capturing something far away and thats about it. I don’t use it much it needs an update it’s not that great.

All in all its a great phone, and great for people who love taking pictures, zoom option and all the fun settings. Great phone for using when answering emails, calls, and texts. Of course its a windows 8, no desktop, and has all the button customization options of the other phones.
