When I earned my masters degree in “Integrating the Arts into the Elementary School Curriculum,” I was convinced that music was a powerful teaching tool. My 5-year-old loves Elmo so much we could watch it all day if we let him. Which we don’t so we always turn to books, toys, teddy’s, anything Elmo related. This book is really neat, filled with pages of songs to sing along with, the book part on the inside is filled with CD’s they can listen or sing a long to with Elmo. I normally don’t do these kinds of books as my kids never seem to grasp the idea, so I tried to benefit the doubt and see if they would be able to, well maybe since its Elmo they did and had so much fun dancing and signing and getting us to sing a long to. Each CD has many songs on it, and other fun stuff to sing. The book is very colorful has a lot of the characters in it. I actually enjoyed this one, as my 3-year-old who goes to preschool 2 days a week for 9 hours, and my 5-year-old who will be starting kindergarten soon so this book really suites them perfectly! Even if your kiddo’s aren’t ready for school or are in preschool, this is a great book to help them understand and get into the idea! Even though different songs are taught in school then you were taught, they can go to preschool or kindergarten singing these one’s to!
