I had the pleasure of receiving some of The Spice Lab products to review. The first was The Spice Lab Gourmet Sea Salt Collection. It included Spanish Chorizo Sea Salt from Spain, Applewood Smoked Sea Salt from Washington, Cyprus White Flake Sea Salt from the Island Of Cyprus and Himalayan Crystal Pink Mountain Salt from Pakistan. They each came in a Pyrex glass test tube with all natural cork stoppers on each container. All four of them came in a nice stand and base that was crafted from sustainable bamboo with a cute little spoon. Sea Salt is a healthier alternative to your traditional salt and they have naturally added minerals and nutrients in them. They taste amazing and give you a way to experiment with different flavors and expand your culinary experiences. I have very much enjoyed these Gourmet Sea Salts. I especially have enjoyed using them within my rubs and as a finishing salt. All four of these flavors are great and I just love them. The Applewood Smoked Sea Salt from Washington is my favorite of the four! I also was able to try the Spanish Chorizo Pork Rub. It came in a 4 oz pouch and was absolutely delicious on my BBQ chicken! My kids thought it was a bit spicy but I thought it was perfect. You just rub it on, leave your meat for about 30 minutes or so then cook it how you like. These rubs are easy to use and taste great! I can not wait to try other flavors!
I also received a 3 oz jar of Acai Berry Infused Black Tea. It works just like your typical loose leaf tea. You want to steep it for at least 3 to 5 minutes, but longer if you want it stronger. The Acai Berry Infused Tea was very flavorful and was good warmed or served as iced tea. It also came in a cute little glass jar with a wooden spoon which was nice. I absolutely loved the Tequila Salt Shooters I received! They are made from 100% Himalayan Salt. You just put your Tequila or other alcoholic beverage in and take your shot without worrying about the salt being added to the rim of the shot glass. When done you just rinse and pat dry. These are so cool. Such an awesome idea and product! Overall The Spice Lab makes some great products! I am excited to expand on what I have been able to use and try some more that I have not yet been able to yet. They are definitely worth it if you are looking for Gourmet Gift ideas for a loved one or just for yourself! Father’s Day is just around the corner and I am sure any BBQ loving dad would love to try out some of The Spice Labs collection! They would be great for your Memorial Day and Forth of July get together too!
