[Review] Pretty Woman Perfume

BARBARA ORBISON: As entrepreneur, publisher, businesswoman and estate manager of legendary music artist Roy Orbison, Barbara Orbison enjoys a dynamic life. Her latest venture, the launch of Pretty Woman Perfume is especially personal and marks the fulfillment of a life-long dream to produce a fragrance that embodies the beauty in every woman. Since she can remember, Barbara was always concocting lotions and potions in her kitchen, creating a delicious skin cream or mixing a delicate fragrance. Growing up in Germany in a family entrenched in the world of high fashion as owners of a couture clothing line and working as a model herself, she spent many hours backstage at fashion shows surrounded by beauty products. Early on she learned to appreciate makeup artistry and recognized the importance of good skincare regimens. She was also always fascinated with perfumes and intent on finding just the right scent. She regularly experimented with combing different oils and fragrances until she hit “the perfect note.” She was constantly asked by friends, colleagues and passersby what fragrance she was wearing because her scent was always so appealing and distinct. By the time Barbara married Roy, she had already formulated the type of fragrance she wanted to create. However, she became immersed in the music world, writing and producing and helping to manage their thriving music business. Those demands, plus raising two sons, required her to put her fragrance dream on hold until now. As with all of her projects, Barbara has been intimately involved with every step in the development of Pretty Woman Perfume. She worked closely with noted perfumers to formulate a scent that bears her signature. It’s fresh, upbeat, sophisticated, ageless and timeless. She helped design the classic bottle which comes from France and worked tirelessly to bring Pretty Woman to market overseeing all the sales, marketing and promotion. Barbara continues to manage the music empire she helped to build as Roy’s manager. She often appears on PBS stations around the country to introduce Black &White Night, a spectacular multimedia event she helped produce to celebrate Roy’s music that features along with Roy such rock & roll luminaries as Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, T Bone Burnette and k.d. lang. Her music company currently has several records topping the charts including Taylor Swift’s single “You Belong With Me,” Gary Allan’s “Today” and Emerson Drive’s “I Love This Road”, Honey Ryder’s new UK single “Love In Time, and Robert Hart’s song “With You” in the film My Sister’s Keeper. An avid traveler, Barbara spends her time between her homes in Nashville, TN, Malibu, CA, New York and London. She loves gardening and cherishes spending time with her family and her many close friends. THE SCENT OF A PRETTY WOMAN Barbara Orbison Introduces Pretty Woman Perfume To Celebrate the Pretty in Every Woman. “Pretty Woman” immediately arouses warm, upbeat feelings, bringing to mind that iconic Roy Orbison song and conjuring up images of that favorite fairytale movie. And now, the power of that name will translate to an enchanting new fragrance from Roy Orbison’s wife Barbara. This signature perfume, due in stores in (September – early fall) promises to be a “scentsation,” capturing the hearts of consumers everywhere. Like the notes of a song, the notes of Pretty Woman Perfume open to reveal a delightful melody of florals, spices and woods. It is a complex blend of hundreds of individual floral and spicy notes. Its crisp, luminous bergamot top note evolves to reveal a full, vivacious middle note accord of stargazer lily, red rose and carnation. The fragrance’s base note accord of fresh amber, patchouli, vanilla, atlas cedar and sacred incense combine with a lingering everlasting warmth and harmony. “It has been a life-long dream of mine to create a perfume that speaks to women everywhere,” comments Barbara. “I believe that within every woman there is a pretty woman and my signature fragrance helps bring that out that inner beauty, confidence and spirit so they feel strong, empowered, sensual and pretty.”Barbara has been involved in every step of the development from conception to launch. She worked closely with perfumers to formulate the exact scent she desired. She selected the bottle from prestigious fashion houses in Paris and worked closely with the graphic designers to craft a package and label that reflects the pure, elegant essence of the fragrance. Pretty Woman Perfume is currently launching in specialty retailers including Planet Blue, Plaza Beauty in New York’s Plaza Hotel, Clydes in NYC, and Fred Segal.

I got two items. Pretty Woman Perfume: Like the notes of a song, the notes of Pretty Woman Perfume open to reveal a complex melody of florals, spices and woods. Pretty Woman Perfume Candle Black: Pretty Woman Perfume Candles from Barbara Orbison have a scent that is familiar and immediately evocative: Their rich and exotic fragrance subtly steps forward, like a bouquet from a dear friend, a warm rich fragrance of roses and star gazer lilies, with hints of amber patchouli and vanilla, woods and incense, gently fills the room with a luscious calming aroma. This Pretty Woman Perfume fragrance was lovingly created by Barbara Orbison, and is as singular and mesmerizing as Roy Orbison’s iconic song. Barbara has been involved in every step of the development from conception to launch. She worked closely with perfumers to formulate the exact scent she desired, which she had carefully honed after having already spent years creating and wearing her own unique blend. “It has been a life-long dream of mine to create a perfume that speaks to women everywhere,” comments Barbara. “I believe that within every woman there is a pretty woman and my signature fragrance helps bring that out that inner confidence and spirit so they feel strong, empowered, sensual and pretty.” As unique as their fragrance, Pretty Woman Candles are made from an original blend of high-quality soy based waxes and a lead free wick with a remarkable 40 hour burn time.

The Pretty Woman Perfume, and Pretty Woman Candle Black

I love both these item, not only do they smell good! I got my package right on Valentines Day! The smell was seeking through the box, I bet the UPS man’s truck was smelling like perfume hehe! This was a great item to get! Especially since I had a root canal the same day. I am so used to my Tiffany Co. perfume that no other smell was better. Well that day no longer exists now. This Pretty Woman Perfume is now my top favorite perfume over my other. I just love the smell, Its like total bliss. My husband loves it to, cause normal perfume smells are to strong for him for be to wear, but this on pass the test! Every woman should at least try pretty woman perfume, its just so awesome, I am sorry, but I am just fond of this perfume. I also love how it was in a bag, like I just got done shopping, wrapped in tissue, with the goodies inside, I tore threw it so fast, my husband giggled. Then I open the items and WE couldn’t believe the goodies inside. I had a lot of LIKES on my FB picture on my personal and my reviews page, I even got someone to contact them to do a PR. So out on 1-10 I rate this a million, cause I’m just blown away on how awesome my goodies are. The Pretty Woman Perfume Candle is awesome as well, smells the best when burning. It makes a whole room smell so good. We used it upstairs to help air out smells, We are remolding our upstairs so it needs some fresh woman smell!  We have had it running for over 20 hours and and I still have like half left. The wick is also the most important part of a candle as well, does it flake down, fall off, or hard to light to re burn?? NOPE it stays the same as if you just lite it for the first time. Thank you Pretty Woman Perfume for my goodies!
