The Sloans founded Shade Science, LLC, in San Antonio, Texas, in 2014. The Pool Buoy is their first product. The idea for the Pool Buoy, the world’s first floating pool umbrella, came as a solution to long afternoons in the family pool. The Sloans invented the Pool Buoy as a way to keep their daughters out of the sun and bring shade to the pool so they could enjoy their backyard swimming pool longer and worry less about sunburn.
The pool buoy is easy to set up and ready to use within minutes and makes great shade for 2-4 people. This comes in two colors white and blue. Then has a white tray, place for the pole, and the shade umbrella. The white tray has cup holders on it which I loved the most. The set isn’t to heavy to carry around. I really love this, great for pools, lake, river, attaching to the tubing when going along the river in the fun summer times. This is great quality and long lasting. The umbrella can be used on your tables too, in the winter days or your summer table when not using the buoy.
