I love anything nature related so I was pretty excited to receive DVD copies of a couple of Nature shows from PBS to watch and review. The first was called Sex, Lies and Butterflies and it is all about butterflies. It has a feature running time of 53 minutes and is very informative. My daughter loves butterflies so she really enjoyed watching this one with me. Sex, Lies and Butterflies goes thru the entire life cycle of the butterfly. It goes from eggs, caterpillars, chrysalis and finally to when they submerge into a beautiful butterfly. We knew a lot of the info provided but I had no idea how long they have been on earth nor how many species there are so that was incredibly fascinating! Great film! The next was Animals with Cameras. This one was super awesome and had a feature running time of 160 minutes. It has three episodes that show you an inside, never before seen look into animals daily lives in the wild. The first episode has meercats, penquins and chimps. The second has cheetahs, seals and chacma baboons. The third has Chilean devil rays, brown bears and sheep dogs. These are all fascinating because the cameras are actually on the animals themselves. Its a great take on their daily lives, struggles and triumphs and we loved it! These are both great films and I highly recommend them!
