My kids love PBS and most of the shows it offers. They were pretty excited when they found out I received a couple dvds to review. The first of these was Wild Kratts: Wild Winter Creatures! It has a feature running time of 105 minutes and contains for fun adventures. These adventures include Polar Bears Don’t Dance, Mystery of the Weird Looking Walrus, Journey to the Subnivean Zone, and Musk Ox Mania. The brothers Martin an Chris Kratt go on animal adventures together. They face a guy name Zach Varmitech when he kidnaps a walrus calf and polar bear cub and again when he tries to use an entire walrus herd to mine pearls for a fashion line. Chris ends up losing his creature souvenir collection in the artic an he and his brother must work together before Zach finds them. It is filled with fun, action packed adventures that my kids just love. The next is Caillou’s Kitchen. My preschooler loves Caillou so she was pretty excite about this one. It has a feature running time of 65 minutes and has 16 stories in all. These include Caillou’s Kitchen, Caillou Makes Cookies, Caillou’s Surprise Breakfast, Caillou Tidies His Toys, Caillou Goes Shopping, All You Can Eat, Sunday Brunch, Recipe For Fun, Caillou Becomes a Waiter, I Scream for Ice Cream!, Caillou’s Favorite Plate, Caillou’s Milk Run, Caillou’s Coins, Caillou the Timekeeper, Olive Muddle, an Glitter Glitch. Caillou goes on many adventures in this dvd. He learns about the world around him in each adventure he takes. These are both great shows for kids and make excellent additions to a children’s movie collection.
