National Backpack Program

About them: For the past 17 years, the Office Depot Foundation has donated more than 4 million sackpacks to children around the world as part of its National Backpack Program. This summer, the Foundation, which is the independent charitable giving arm of Office Depot, Inc., will be donating 100,000 colorful new sackpacks to nonprofit organizations, schools and agencies across the United States and internationally.

I had the pleasure of getting more familiarized with the Office Depot Foundations National Backpack Program this year and was pretty impressed with what they do and how many kids they help with each and every year. The National Backpack Program has donated more than 4 million sackpacks to kids around the world with this program and this year they were donating 100,000 colorful new sackpacks with school supplies to nonprofit organizations, agencies and schools across the US and internationally. This is a great program for low income families all over. We received a few sackpacks to check out and feature and I was pretty impressed with them. Each sackpack is super colorful and made with a nice thick material and has a drawstring to secure your child’s school supplies. In each of the sackpacks there was a pencil case with crayons, a pencil, a pen, a small ruler, a pencil sharpener and an eraser. To some this may not seem like much, but to kids and families that can not afford to purchase school supplies this is an amazing gift for them! It contains the basics they need for their education. We didn’t really need the three sackpacks we received so we gifted them to a low income family with 3 kids in our home town. They were extremely excited and the parents were very grateful for the National Backpack Program! This is a great program and I highly recommend supporting them and/or reaching out to them if you need help for your family! They are doing great work and I commend them!

Disclosure: I received these products for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
