My kids and I received a DVD copy of A Mermaid’s Tale to watch and review. It is G rated and has a feature running time of 92 minutes. This is a modern day fairy tale and my girls just loved it! I enjoyed it as well. It is about a a girl named Ryan and her dad move in with her grandpa. She has no friends and is not feeling very good about the new transition. One day she meets a girl named Coral, who is a magical mermaid who can swim in the sea and walk on land. Although their friendship is forbidden, they get close and must work together to bring both fishermen and mermaids back together to live in harmony. This is a great family film. It is magical and keeps you interested. The special features include a trailer gallery, behind the scenes and more! This is a great mythical story about discovery, trust and friendship.
