About Them: In 2005, my wife and I (Phil here) were expecting our first child. On a whim, I wrote and illustrated a crude storybook. I loved the idea of giving our future kids a one-of-a-kind gift. The book was awful. But that humble start eventually led to Following Featherbottom. The name MarbleSpark speaks to our hope of igniting imaginations. Marble is meant figuratively, as in brain, noggin’, or noodle – like, “Have you lost your marbles?” AndSpark means ignition, explosion, and combustion. For us MarbleSpark isn’t just a name – it’s a mission.Marble Spark is a book company that customizes the books with your children’s name on the book and throughout the book as well making the experience so much more fun.
We picked Winston’s name for our book. Every night I read to the boys before bedtime, well one is usually asleep by that time anyways. But this is a really cute book and each page spells out one more letter of his name and last name as well. Its a pretty long book but the sentences are short making the book pretty quickly. Took like ten minutes to complete it. Each page is something different looking, colors are calm and the drawings are really cute. This is a hard back, with paper pages book, so if your little ones rip books up, keep up high so you can read for later!
