About them: PlaSmart Inc. is a Canadian-based distributor of smart, simple, educational toys for children. The story began in December, 2002 when Timothy Kimber, then owner of an ecommerce business, happened upon some children test-driving a yet unknown ride-on vehicle. Fascinated that this car did not require batteries or pedals and was propelled by simply turning the steering wheel, Kimber located the seller of this unique toy. Within a month, PlaSmart was born with North American distribution and marketing rights secured for PlasmaCar. With an uncomplicated, honest vision and a philosophy to under-promise and over-deliver, PlaSmart expanded into more than sixty countries on five continents in a few years.
My kids love to draw and sometimes it isn’t always at a convenient time or I just don’t want to deal with a huge mess. I was pretty excited when I received a Magic Canvas to review and include in our Holiday Gift Guide this year. It is for ages 12 months and up and is fully contained which is nice. It comes with the reusable canvas and attached reusable water stylus. To use, you just fill the water stylus up and draw on the canvas. When the water goes onto the canvas through the water stylus it brings out the hidden colors. Once it drys the colors disappear so your child can draw pictures over and over again. The canvas is double sided so your kid can color on the other side while the opposite side drys. If the water stylus runs out of water you just add more and continue. There is no color mess everywhere and the best part is they only show up on the canvas. All three of my kids love this but I got it with my son in mind since he is a toddler and not exactly the most careful when he is drawing or painting on paper. I love that this doesn’t leave a mess on him. He loves it, I love that there is no mess. Its a win for both of us! This is a great toy for at home or on the go! My kids love to take this on longer drives in the car. I just keep a water bottle handy so I can refill the water stylus and it keeps them entertained for hours. I ordered two more so all three of my kids will have one and I definitely think they would make great gifts this Christmas for your little ones!
