Everybody Loves Somebody

About them: A decision between a past romance and a new love must be made when the endearing romantic comedy Everybody Loves Somebody arrives on DVD, Digital HD and On Demand June 20 from Lionsgate. Karla Souza stars as a successful career woman who convinces a charming coworker to pose as her boyfriend for a family wedding but is caught off-guard when her old flame shows up. ”A rom-com with bite” (Jeannette Catsoulis, The New York Times), the movie premiered to critical acclaim at the 2017 Palm Springs Film Festival.

I had been wanting to see Everybody Loves Somebody since I had first heard about it. When I had the pleasure of receiving a review copy I was pretty excited. It is rated PG-13 and has a feature running time of 106 minutes. Now I have to say I have to be in the mood to read a movie and this one is in Spanish with English subtitles and the first time I tried watching it I just was not in the mood to read my movie so I turned it off and was pretty disappointed so gave up trying to watch it. After a few days and when I had some quiet time I plugged it back in and watched it. It was extremely enjoyable. Clara is a young single doctor who thinks she has everything in life that she wants and needs. All she seems to be lacking is love and when she is invited to a family wedding down in Mexico, she asks a coworker to pose as her boyfriend for appearance for her family. While in Mexico Clara runs into her old boyfriend and has to then choose between the two men and ultimately choose which direction her life will go. It is a romantic comedy that is heartwarming and uplifting and I really enjoyed it once I was able to sit down and watch it. It came out on June 20th and I definitely think it is a must watch for anyone looking for a romantic comedy! It is a great addition to any movie collection.
