I can not even begin to explain how excited I was to hear that The Lion King was joining the Walt Disney Signature Collection! It is my all time favorite Disney movie and has become well loved by my kids too. We received a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD copy of The Lion King and I could not be happier! For those who have not seen this classic Disney animated movie I will give you an overview of it. Pride Rock is filled with many creatures that contribute to the great circle of life. The lions rule this great land. Mufasa and Sarabi give birth to Simba, the future king of the pride. When his jealous uncle Scar plots his own rise to be King, Simba’s father is killed and Simba is presumed to be dead. He grows up away from the Pride Lands and then must return to face is evil uncle Scar and reclaim his rightful place as King. It is an amazing film and great story and as I said, my ultimate favorite Disney movie. It has a feature running time of 88 minutes and is rated G for everyone. The Blu-ray includes so many also bonus features that include the Recording Sessions, Inside The Story Room, Visualizing a Villain, The Lion King: Song Selection and much more! Of these bonus extras, my girls favorite is The Lion King: Song Selection. It is an all new sing along version of the movie and includes Circle of Life, I just Can’t Wait To Be King, Be Prepared, Hakuna Matata and Can You Feel The Love Tonight.
