I had the pleasure of receiving a Blu-Ray and Digital HD copy of The Light Between Oceans for review. It has a feature running time of 133 minutes and is rated PG-13. I honestly did not know what to think of this movie but heard great things so I was excited to see it. I will say it was absolutely breathtaking! A lighthouse keeper and his wife live together on an island off Australia. They have everything they could hope for but a child. They try and try without success and one day a dingy washes up with a dead man and a living baby. They decide to keep the baby and not report their findings but years later run into the mother of the baby. Their world is flipped upside down in an instant and their future is changed forever. This movie starts off slow but quickly pulls you in and captivates you. It is a great family movie about experiencing love and loss of loved ones, hope and destiny. The bonus features include Bringing The Light To Life which goes in depth of how the story came to life and how it affected the actors and their performances, Lighthouse Keeper and Audio Commentary. This movie is filled with love, compassion and despair and is a great film! It came out on January 24th and I highly recommend bringing home your copy today! It is an incredible movie!
