About Them: The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin, written by Joe Troiano and published by Holiday Hill Farm, is one of seven titles in the Spookley book series that, collectively, has sold over two million copies. The animated television special has been a long time Halloween favorite for the whole family, airing on Nick, Jr. from 2002-2005 and on Playhouse Disney from 2006-2012.
Holiday Hill Farm has a very cute DVD about pumpkin and things that surround them. My kids weren’t really into the DVD but they watched it. Talking pumpkins, scarecrows, bugs. Everything you would find surrounding the pumpkins. Very cute story line. Quick, active, fast paced most the time, and colorful. Very fun movie to put on when its Halloween, kids will love the whole idea. I love how they have nice pumpkins, bossy ones, and smart ones. Big variety of personality’s of the pumpkins. The scarecrow, bugs, bats its all a great touch to add to the movie, being night and all. Things you find in the garden of the pumpkins. The package comes with quite a collection of fun stuff, music CD, video’s, games, and activities all about Halloween.
