My kids and I had the pleasure of receiving a LeapFrog LeapStart and several LeapStart Activity Books to review and include in our Holiday Gift Guide. The LeapStart System is perfect for ages 5 through 7 and comes with the LeapStart Learning System, a USB Cable, a Quick Start Guide and a Sample of both a Kindergarten and 1st Grade Book. You need internet access to set it up but it is pretty quick and easy to do so. You also need two AA batteries that are not included. The LeapStart Learning System is super cool and my 4 and 6 year olds just love it! Just place your book inside the provided spot on the LeapStart Learning System, turn it on and use the stylus to play and learn! Each book is different and there are a ton to choose from. We received the Preschool Daily Routines with Health & Wellness book for ages 2 to 4, a Pre-K STEM with Teamwork book for ages 3 to 5 year olds, a Kind`ergarten Kids’ World Atlas with Global Awareness book for ages 4 to 6 and a 1st Grade Space Science with Thinking Like a Scientist Book for ages 5 to 7. These books are fun and each teach something new and exciting. They come in various levels so your child can grow and develop and still use the System. The Daily Routines Book is level 1 and helps teach your kids healthy routines, seasons, weather and proper nutrition. The Pre-K STEM with Teamwork book is level 2 and allows your child to ask questions and make observations, explore using trial and error and use cooperative problem solving. Kids’ World Atlas with Global Awareness is level 3 and teaches map skills, continents and explores world cultures. Finally Space Science with Thinking Like a Scientist is level 4 and explores solar system basics, teaching characteristics of the sun and helps kids understand tools for space study. These are all super fun educational and interactive activity books and my kids just love them all! The first two have over 40 activities and the second two have over 30 activities. This whole LeapStart Learning System is fantastic and I highly recommend it! This would make a fantastic Christmas gift for your kids this holiday season!
