About Them: The first appearance of the Kenmore brand washing machine almost escaped notice. The Kenmore washing machine did not show up in the venerable Sears catalog that year, and no known photograph of the 1927 washing machine with a Kenmore brand on it exists. The origin of the name Kenmore is equally vague. One suggestion is that Kenmore came from Kenmore Avenue, a prominent street in Chicago. With nearly 99 percent of urban homes wired for electricity by the end of the 1920s, Sears recognized the huge untapped market in household appliances. To reach this market Sears offered a wide assortment of Kenmore appliances.

My latest addiction these days our new dishwasher, that replaced the one that came with the house, that the previous owners trashed. The old one, lets just not even go there, it was poorly taken care of, but this is a 16-year-old house. Previous owners treated this house from top to bottom very poorly, I just couldn’t believe my eyes, and the amount of money we had to fork over to replace the upstairs damage they did. We haven’t even gotten on the kitchen and bathrooms yet. Only the living room, den, hallway, 3 rooms, but now its better and now I have a new toy to start the process of the kitchen. This dishwasher a 24″ barely fit into the small cube that replaced the other one, but by the hair on your chin it did. This is a pretty awesome dishwasher, it has a sanitize mode, you can set it for a certain hour when you want it to start, it’s very quite, with the 2 blades for washing. Another favorite part is the closed doors on the utensil rack for baby items or small items, the folding down rack on the top shelf for like wine glasses. You have many options, to set on this fancy dishwasher. You can pre set all your options and will stay the same, and just hit start every time. I can put the whole bottom covered in big bowls with cups on top, and it will still make every dishware clean, I’ve put this baby to the test so many times, on some crazy placing with dishware and yet it fooled me. Another cool feature I like is the filter catcher at the bottom, unlike my last one I had to use some sharp thin tool to dig out the items in the bottom, this one has a tray catcher and you just pull it out when it gets full whenever that is, and wash it. No more unscrewing or digging in small holes you can’t see.
