Hugo is a little starfish Book Review

Hugo is a little starfish. He finds his life dull. Tired of feeling sad, one day he sets off to find happiness. After much searching, he discovers something that makes his heart do a somersault! Sharing with others is the only thing that makes him truly happy; all other things just made him feel better for a little while.  Adults strive to teach children to share within their communities. Encouraging children to give teaches them empathy, as well as a sense of social responsibility. Children can feel empowered by giving and sharing with others. A great book to teach EMPATHY, the CALENDAR and the IMPORTANCE OF SHARING.

The Character education in this book is great. Lost of learning in this book, and colors, shapes, mammals, and so on. It’s a pretty fast paced book and can get it almost done to where the toddlers stay interested in it. I like how it comes with a paper cover over the hardback so keeps it damage free. I have this book sitting in the kids book rack they have though I want a real book shelf so badly. Anyways this book is very adorable and very detailed on what it is about. My kids ask me to read it now like 3 times a week which is in their top 5 favorite book! I like how this book unlike many teach kids about reality and how it will be like when they get older. It’s like a way for them to understand in a young kids version. This book is super adorable and love the fishy’s they are just so darn cute. Empathy is a huge word and meaning to teach your children at a young age that way when they get older they will understand and do things that follow that path. Being an adult is stressful and teaching our kids at a young age will make it easier for them, and this book above gives you that in a way they will understand and a way we can explain as well!
