About them: My Green Mattress was founded by Tim Masters. Tim’s daughter inspired him to expand his offerings to include all natural mattresses. Shortly after Emily was born, it was apparent that she suffered from eczema and allergies. Tim and his wife did research and found that all-natural products could help alleviate Emily’s symptoms. Tim began working as an apprentice at family-owned, Quality Sleep Shop, that was established in 1968. He eventually bought the business, and has expanded it with the addition of the My Green Mattress division to keep up with the ever changing needs of his customers.
My girls have been needing a new mattress on the lower part of their bunk bed for quite some time. Finding a good mattress that is both supportive for my kids and helps with my daughters chronic allergies is not easy. We have gone through a few with no luck. When I had the opportunity to try out and review the Simple Sleep 7 Mattress from My Green Mattress I was elated! It is a spring free mattress that has a conforming, breathable,all natural organic Dunlop latex on the inside and completely covered with a wool and organic cotton quilted cover on the outside. It is on the firmer side so perfect for my girls. It is soft and comfortable. Not only is it extremely supportive but my daughters allergy attacks have been reduced in half after only 2 weeks of sleeping on it! This is the ONLY mattress that has ever helped alleviate some of her allergies and that is just amazing to me! I already loved the fact that it was organic and comfortable, but the fact that it has helped with my daughters allergies makes me love it that much more! As if that wasn’t enough, both of my girls have been sleeping better and for longer periods of time which is another blessing. They are waking up more refreshed and even their teachers have noticed a difference with the rest they are getting at home. I will definitely be getting another one for their top bunk so they can go back to sleeping on their own beds soon. This is an excellent quality mattress that has helped our family so much! I could not be happier with it! When I can afford it, I would love to get a king sized one for my bed. If you are looking for a good quality mattress that is comfortable, helps you sleep better and helps with allergies, then this is the one for you!
