My kids love Disneys new princess Elena so they were super excited to receive a DVD copy of Elena and the Secret of Avalor for review. It has a feature running time of 109 minutes and has a full length episode Elena and the Secret of Avalor along with Spellbound and Finders Leapers. This DVD takes you through the very beginning of Princess Elena of Avalors adventure. She had been trapped in the Amulet of Avalor for over 40 years until Princess Sofia the First sets her free. Elena, Sofia, Sofia’s family and the towns people of Avalor must work together to defeat the evil Sorceress Shuriki. Shuriki is the evil sorceress that had entrapped her grandparents and sister in a painting and put Elena in the Amulet of Avalor. She and her followers must defeat Shuriki to save the town and release her family from the Painting. My kids just love this DVD and it was really nice to see how the story all started! It brought Princess Elena to life and made us all really appreciate the backstory. The bonus features included Prince Too Charming, Royal Retreat and the “My Time” Music Video. It also came with a free Flying Jaquin Mobile for you and your kids to put together. If your kids like Elena of Avalor, I highly recommend buying Elena and the Secret of Avalor for their collection! It came out on February 7th!
