Once you turn it on, it takes 24 hours to calibrate, and don’t use that one as your results, you will need to restart it, then after its done the second time around you will get your results, as per instructions. This will keep your score on the bottom, and your new score at the top so you can have fun comparing each time. You can place this device in any room, leave it for 24 hours and will get your new results in the morning per placement. This is also great for, traveling, anywhere you would like to know the radon gas each day. The device weighs like nothing, you don’t need to do anything extra other than placing batteries in, it will stay on 24/7 until the batteries die. You can drop this on carpet, hard floors, concrete, and won’t damage the device or make it defective at all.
