My daughter is on a kick right now and has been doing chores and yard work to earn money for a snake and its habitat. She is seven and has never wanted something enough to save money for it until now. She has been collecting all the necessities. One of the things I was worried about with having a heat lamp is that it would get in the way of opening the lid to the snake habitat. When I had the opportunity of trying out the Zoo Med Reptile Lamp Stand from Chewy both my daughter and I were pretty excited. We don’t have a snake yet but we set it up and love it! I am sure it will do everything I need it to do and more. It is a solid steel constructed stand that has a base plate that just slides under your enclosure to keep it sturdy and from falling over. It has adjustable knobs to make it higher or longer to fit terrariums from 20 to over 100 gallons in size. It expands up to 36 inches tall and 15 inches wide. It also has safety clips to hold your power cord in place and a hook on the end to hold the light fixture. The light fixture itself and light bulbs are not included but we already had those. I love knowing that when my daughter gets her snake that the light will not be able to fall over. This is a huge safety feature that I love and I am sure it will provide maximum direct light and heat for her snake! I didn’t even know these were made so I was so happy to see them! If you are looking for a better method for keeping your light on your reptile than this is a great Reptile Lamp Stand for the job!
