CheeseSticks

20160114_140317-1About them: Long before John Wm. Macy’s CheeseSticks‘ wholesale bakery or online snack store existed, John Macy created a “snack factory” in his kitchen! In the mid 1970s, just out of college, John started Easy Cook Eaty, a small catering business in Northern California. Never one to choose ready-made appetizers, John created a spicy, twisted breadstick by laminating multiple layers of sharp cheddar cheese and fresh sourdough, hand-twisting strips of the layered dough and baking them twice to a satisfying crunch. John’s “CheeseSticks” appetizers were an instant hit.

My kids and I received several varieties of CheeseSticks to review. The first one we tried was the Original Cheddar. It came in a 4oz box and did not last long in my house. Add the crispiness to the cheese flavor and these were an instant hit! Next we tried the Melting Parmesan CheeseSticks. These also came in a 4oz box. These were my personal favorite. We ate them right out of the box and we also dipped them in soup and both ways were delicious! Next we tried some CheeseCrisps. We received Sesame Gruyere and Asiago Cheddar and they both came in 4.5oz boxes. These were both delicious and didn’t last long in our house at all. My room mates discovered they enjoyed them as well so we ate them all during the football game. Definitely a great snack! We were also sent a couple boxes of SweetSticks to try out. We received Dutch Chocolate and Madagascar Vanilla. These both came in 5oz boxes. I personally did not like the Dutch Chocolate but my kids and room mates loved them. I did however, really enjoy the Madagascar Vanilla ones. They were sweet and delicious! I think all of these make great snacks. The CheeseSticks and CheeseCrisps also make a great addition to any meal!

Disclosure: I received these products for free, in exchange for an honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
