Beauty and the Beast Movie Review

About Them:  The full-length documentary begins with the stories of a few patients, whose lumps are initially considered benign. Navigating the resistant medical system, these women felt lost, helpless and terrified. But thanks to their intuition and persistence, they eventually got the right diagnosis. The film depicts the process of learning and accepting the terrifying verdict, and details the complexities of every stage of the disease. By following the patients’ spiritual transformations, we witness how their minds and personalities are affected by the whole experience on an emotional level. Candid and self-effacing, the women bare their souls as well as their scars.

This inspiring movie Beauty and the Beast, about woman who went through breast cancer. My grandma, but not by blood, who lost a boob from cancer, I know my aunt had a close call. I know numerous people and my neighbor who fought cancer. We just found out the little girl across from us, just got diagnosed with leukemia and she is so young too. Shes home now on chemo. Cancer isn’t something no one asked for, but it just happened along their life. This DVD had me in tears within half hour. So many heart wrenching stories of these nine woman who fought breast cancer. They each all have their own story and how it became them. This movie very clean and crisp and much like a documentary that won a lot of awards. Below you will get a clip about who the woman are in this movie who explain about their way in life with cancer and how they got a new life.

Comment Below:

  • This is a powerful film! I watched it and thought of all the women I know you have suffered through this disease. I found myself grabbing inspiration from these brave women. My favorite was Wendy who fought the disease with humor. I great movie, and a service to all women!

  • I saw this film with a friend of mine. And like you, we were also in tears. But it is such a well made documentary I want to watch it again with my sister and her daughter. (It’s available on Amazon too.) We are all touched by someone who has the disease and I think it just helps you to be able to relate a little more after watching the film.
