#ad ~ Celebrate the festival of lights ~ #bbydiwaligiftcards

Diwali_E-Gift_Card (2)Diwali, popularly known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most important Hindu festivals. It celebrates the triumph of inner light dispelling spiritual darkness or ignorance, right over wrong and good over evil. It is celebrated by the lighting of small clay lamps and bursting of firecrackers, wearing new clothes and sharing sweets with family and friends, in a spirit of goodwill towards all.

Diwali a festival of lights is a tradition celebrated all over the world, in the US and countries as well. It starts on November 11 and goes through the 15th. Here in Washington State, they do one in Seattle downtown, and when I first moved here we went when I was pregnant on our date night, its a very beautiful festival, they had lights everywhere on everything, woman dressed up, and singing to the music, its a exprience you would never forget, and this was 8 years ago. There is tons of history behind it, and some wonderful meanings as well. Best Buy is celebrating this event by creating a special gift card just for this event.

Diwali is celebrated around the world, particularly in countries with significant populations of Hindu, Jain and Sikh origin. With more understanding of Indian culture and global migration of people of Indian origin, the number of countries where Diwali is celebrated has been gradually increasing. While in some countries it is celebrated mainly by Indian expatriates, in other countries it is becoming part of the general local culture, such as Australia and the Caribbean.

This upcoming year, Diwali falls on Nov. 11, 2015 of our Gregorian calendar.  Best Buy would like to celebrate this festival with a special Diwali e-Gift Card that will be available online through November 15, 2015 and you can find this eGiftCard under the “Occasions” tab.
