About them: Pete and Gerry’s is dedicated to producing the freshest free range eggs on real, small family farms and are committed to the humane treatment of animals. All of their organic free range egg products are Certified Humane, USDA Organic, and B-Corporation Certified. Their hens are never caged, and all barns allow them access to the outdoors. They never administer antibiotics or hormones to their hens and their hens’ 100% organic feed contains no pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or GMOs.As someone that actually has been raising chickens at home for a few years now I know there’s a big difference between free-range eggs and those that are raised inside a barn 24-7. Whenever our chickens are molting and not laying eggs that means we have to sometimes supplement with grocery store eggs. When we do we always shop for the highest quality range-free chicken eggs like Pete and Gerry’s Organic Eggs. I love that they care enough about providing their customers with high quality organic eggs that they go above and beyond what the Organic seal requires. This makes me a feel a lot less guilty about purchasing grocery store eggs. And just look how awesome one of my Thanksgiving breakfast omelets turned out using their eggs. You can definitely tell by the bright yellow color of the eggs that they haven’t been sitting around for weeks before being brought to the grocery store shelf.
If you’ve never had an organic free-range chicken egg you honestly don’t know what you’ve been missing. Or at least that’s the consensus in my household. They honestly do have a different look and taste than other eggs. Once you’ve tried them you’ll probably never go back.
