I have been looking for a nice indoor security camera that I could use with my phone so I was pretty stoked to receive a Vivitar All In One Smart Home Starter Kit to review and to include in our Holiday Gift Guide this year! This set is awesome! It comes with a CaptureCam, a Smart Bulb, a Smart Plug, a USB Cable, an AC Charger, an Easy Guide/Instruction Manual and a Vivitar Smartphone App to control it all. Setting this set up is pretty easy and virtually takes no time at all. Simply plug in the Smart Plug and plug in whatever appliance or whatnot you want to control into it. For the Smart Bulb simply put it in your favorite light fixture or lamp and the camera can be set up anywhere you want coverage in your home. Then download the app to your smart device. It can be used with iPhones, iPads and androids like Samsung, BlackBerry, etc. They are all wireless which is super nice and just connect to your device with Wi-Fi. You can use the Smart Plug to control your electronic devices. I currently have my Christmas Tree plugged into mine so I can turn the lights on and off with my phone. Its pretty nice and energy efficient too. You can use it for lamps, gaming systems or any other electronic devices with a standard plug in too. It also has a nice usb port on the side so you can charge your devices at the same time. The Smart Bulb is also energy efficient. You can change the color and dim the light from your device. You can program both of these with the programmable timer as well! Finally the CaptureCam is a nice sleek design that goes with pretty much any home decor. You can watch your kids or baby, pets, your home and more with this camera and I needed this in my home! It streams everything live right to your device so I can check into my home anytime while I am away. I love this feature and could not be happier with the video quality when it comes through on my device. It has motion detection, night vision and you can adjust your camera in ways that best suit your viewing area. This is a great starter set and would make a great gift this holiday season!
