WP_20150320_13_57_49_ProAbout The Car: For the base model, the average paid price for a new 2015 Chevrolet Equinox is trending $34,000 below the manufacturer’s MSRP. 2015 Chevrolet Equinox AWD 1LT.The standard engine for the Chevrolet Equinox is a 2.4-liter four cylinder that puts out a maximum 182 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel-drive and a six-speed automatic transmission are also standard features, with all-wheel-drive available as an option. The EPA estimates fuel economy at 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway with a combined fuel economy of 26 mpg.
An optional 3.6-liter V6 engine is available on all but the LS trim level. Maximum output for the engine comes in at 301-horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque. Chevrolet employs a stylish two-tone color scheme inside the Equinox, allowing buyers to choose between black, brown and cream interior accents and seating surfaces. The overall layout of the vehicle’s interior is modern yet not too outlandish, providing an overall clean look. The gauges are easy to read and understand, with two traditional analog gauges flanking a digital gauge you can customize to show the information you desire. The vehicle’s center stack contains quite a few buttons and knobs, which surround the touchscreen.

The dashboard controls are all pretty basic, easy access for radio, cruise control, and Bluetooth for calls all at the tip of your fingers. The RPM and MPH gauges are huge and easy to read, the gas and car temp sit next to each other making it all easy to view while driving. There is a screen in the middle for digital MPH reading, miles, calls, compass, all which is very easy to set up.

Touch Screen, radio & more

The radio area comes with a touch screen for the radio, Pandora, settings, GPS and much more making it easy. This car does come with backing up camera, which I been falling in love with after reviewing all these cars. Love the shifter, looks like a stick shift, and very comfortable in the hand. It also has the stick shift option for people who love both ways.

Back Seats
Back Seats

This car is all equipped with leather seating, and black. The hooks for hooking in the car seats are super visible and easy access which I like, I hate digging into the seats. Fits 3 comfortably or has a center console for drinks, and storage between the two. The seats are very comfortable, and while its black colored, leather, on hot days you will feel that difference, luckily the car is equipped with nice AC system for front and back. Heck the front seats have heated seat options for cold days, and I used the heck out of it. Even can digital set it to whatever you like, 70 was nice, while 75 is sweaty hot.

Trunk Space
Trunk Space

The trunk space is pretty big, even with the seats up, if you pull them down you can easily fit a long entertainment set in it, and the door while close. Does come with a spare tire, in the trunk under the mat. Also has a very sweet kicker speaker in the trunk on the right side, for your Bose system that comes with the car.

Button pushing Action

I loved the whole button push on the trunk and the door will open and shut all on its on from the trunk handle or in the driver seat above your head. That took a while to get used to, as my car doesn’t have that option.

Engine
Engine

Pretty sweet engine, everything covered, easy reach access to everything that is more important to you, extra spot for a back up battery if you were ever to need one. This small car which follows the line of the traverse, just cut in half fitting 5 instead of 8. The torch is alright at take off, it does better at higher speeds in a race, then flooring it at a light. Believe me I know I have this dude with a equinox who always been racing me, and my traverse much heavier dusted his ass, while he was able to catch up when he found the sweet spot, and this car indeed has one for sure. This is a 20-29 gas mileage car, I filled it to half way and drove an extra 200 miles on it, and barely broke near empty on it, and this was half freeway and long drive home on a highway.
