My kids and I love zombie shows and movies but a lot of the ones I like aren’t exactly kid appropriate so I was excited to see that Disney was coming out with a kid friendly zombie movie. ZOMBIES is rated G and has a feature running time of 94 minutes. It takes place 50 years after a massive zombie apocalypse sweeps the planet. The government has come up with a Z band that suppresses zombie behaviors and makes them more like they were before they were zombies. Because they are now more “normal” the zombies are finally allowed to enroll in high school. Seabrook High School is not as welcoming as they had hoped and all but one cheerleader by the name of Addison make it as clear as they can that zombies are not welcome. Zed is a zombie and him and Addison work together to help make the community celebrate everyone’s differences and include them as part of the community. It is filled with tons of fun dances and catchy songs that my girls just love! As soon as the movie is over it goes into the bonus features. These include bloopers, deleted scenes, audition footage and more! They also include a step by step tutorial of one of the dances from the show. It took a few times of watching it but now my girls have it down! This movie was a huge hit in our house and if you have kids that enjoy zombies and Disney, then this is a great dvd for your collection!
