Tumzee

About them: Experts recommend about 30 minutes of Tummy Time each day for infants. Tummy Time encourages fine and gross motor skills. Tummy Time encourages babies to push up on their hands and arms which helps to develop strong shoulders, arms and hand muscles required for grasping and reaching. According to the Pediatric Society babies should always sleep on their backs which reduces the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). This can cause Positional Plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome). This is why it is so important for babies to receive supervised Tummy Time to encourage proper development and growth.

I had the pleasure of receiving a Tumzee for review. I have three kids and my first two never liked tummy time and I never had anything like this to help support tummy time with them. I had my son and there are so many more options and this Tumzee is one of the best things for tummy time I have seen or have been able to use. It is really neat. It works best for babies from birth to crawling. It has a great design which includes a safety strap and a spot that keeps the baby from sliding down. To use you simply lay your baby on their tummy with the wedge between their legs and secure the safety belt. It is at an incline which my son just loved! He could see everything and interact with his toys and surroundings. The pad on it is super comfortable and provides plenty of support and is super easy to clean. My son hated tummy time before we got this Tumzee. After we got this he loved tummy time and spending that much needed time to help develop his back, neck and arm muscles. It also helped him fine tune his motor skills when playing with toys. He has since outgrown it since he is walking now but it really was a blessing. We have since given it to my friend who has a three month old and she just loves it as well! If you have a baby that doesn’t like tummy time then this may be the support they need to really enjoy tummy time more and help them develop the muscles and motor skills they need!

Disclosure: I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
