True Citrus

About them: True Lemon (and all the wonderful products that came after) exists because David Schleider had a eureka moment while eating lunch with his father. In June 2003, David launched Grand Brands (now True Citrus Co.) with its first product, True Lemon. Unique to the market, each convenient sachet provided fresh-squeezed taste, made with only simple and clean ingredients. Today, the True Citrus family of products has grown to 4 delicious, core citrus flavors (True Lemon, True Lime, True Orange and True Grapefruit) available in a variety of formats, naturally sweetened, low calorie lemonades and limeades, flavorful citrus spice blends and over 60 retail and foodservice products. Whether you’re looking for a better way to lemon for your cooking applications or looking for just a light, unsweetened fresh-squeezed taste in your water or something sweeter (but without any artificial flavors or preservatives), True Citrus has a 100% delicious citrus choice that you’ll love!

I’ve been using products from the True Citrus line for quite a long time now. Mostly I had been using their lemon, lime, and orange packets for cooking. They are great for keeping in the pantry instead of having to run to the store every time you need the “juice” version for a recipe. Now I can also say I’m am also a user of their drink flavoring lines too. I received a nice assortment of products from them recently including product from their new True Lemon Energy and True Lemon Iced Tea lines. Just like all other True Lemon products the new lines are made with simple and clean ingredients to deliver you that real fruit flavor from real fruit. That means no artificial flavors, sweeteners or colors, and they are even non-GMO. True Lemon Energy is powered with natural energy from green tea with 120mg of caffeine per serving (same as a cup of coffee), 100% Vitamin C and 0 calories per serving. True Lemon Iced Tea balances premium black tea and the fresh-squeezed taste of lemon, peach or raspberry with 40mg of caffeine and only 10 calories per serving. And all you have to do for this awesome flavor is pour a stick of powder into a 16oz. glass of water and stir. At around $4 for a box of six packets you’re looking at under 75¢ for a fully flavored drink.

Of the ones I’ve tried so far my favorite is the Peach Iced Tea. I’m a big iced tea fan and had actually been looking for a way to break myself off the sweet tea habit. I think this is going to be my savior in that journey!
