About them: The TrackR series of products was developed by TrackR, a Santa Barbara, CA-based startup company. The company was founded by Chris Herbert and Christian Smith, two UC Santa Barbara graduates. The idea for TrackR began when Chris almost lost his car to the Pacific Ocean because he couldn’t find his keys. They began working on TrackR the same day they graduated in 2009. Over a quarter of a million devices later, the team is proud to announce TrackR bravo and represents the vision for the company of taking the database of items in your head and moving that to your phone.
If it isn’t my kids losing my car keys, it is me losing them. I have long since desired a device that would magically help me locate them. That is why I was super excited to receive the TrackR bravo review and to include in our Holiday Gift guide. It is a pretty neat little gadget that is compatible with iPhone 4s and later, iPad with Retina Display and later and Androids 4.4 and later with Bluetooth 4.0. It comes with the TrackR bravo, a battery, a key loop to attach it to your item and a sticker. You simply download the app and attach it to your keys, bag, purse or whatever else you tend to lose a lot. Once it is attached and you download the app, you are good to go. If for any reason you lose your device, you can locate it almost instantly. It comes from the worlds largest tracking network. It also features a distance indicator, separation alerts an an item ringer. It is a pretty neat little device and has helped me locate my keys on numerous occasions. One time I left them in the shopping cart at the grocery store. I looked all over in my car then remembered I could track it right from my phone with the TrackR bravo. Within seconds I was able to locate it. I knew exactly how far away it was and I didn’t have to search endlessly. This would make a great gift this holiday season and I highly recommend it!
