I had the pleasure of receiving a copy of the new Teach Our Children Well: Why the January 21, 2017 Marches Matter book by Karen Gross and Debbi Wraga to read and review. This book really hits home for me because my kids and I lived through this time, even participating in it. It is extremely important and dear to my heart so I absolutely was elated to receive this book. Millions of people across the globe gathered as one to express their concerns on changes happening all around us across our nation and the world. This book really touches on the importance of standing up for not only our concerns, but our rights. I love this book because it captures the heart and messages through the signs captured during these marches. Men, Women and children from all different backgrounds and ages came together to be heard. This book captures this and so much more and is important because those who lived it and those who did not and will be brought up, will be able to see the importance of the post Inaugural Women’s March on January 21, 2017. This books intention is to teach our children well and it does just that. It is filled with beautiful images that captures this important day in history and I highly recommend it!
