We had a simple version before this one, but we tossed it, after I got this for review. It’s pretty simple to use, plug it in, hit power, choose the option you’re cooking and hit OK and you’re done. It also has a manual mode for perfect cookers, or for an option that isn’t displayed on it. The unit is pretty lightweight. The grease catcher kinda like locks into place and stays put, and easy to pull out for washing. The grills are non stick, easy to clean off, and when food is place the top sits nice on top of whatever food is inside of it. It has a beeping on it, to tell you when the food is done and cooked, most the time we pull the food off a minute or two before it beeps at us. We have yet figured out the steak option part for the light up circle, tells you when it’s cooked to your liking. We narrowed it down to 6 minutes for medium rare steak. While sausages are like 20 minutes, and grilled cheese is about ten minutes. We love this OptiGrill and only use it now for cooking in, stead of the oven, or the toaster oven. It’s a nice piece for the kitchen for anyone who loves grilling food for sure.
