Suncups Review

n 2008, a man knocked on the door at Seth Ellis Chocolates with a jar of sunflower butter and a challenge: create a candy cup his peanut-allergic son could eat. The chocolatiers got to work, inspired by the idea of a peanut butter cup for everyone. A jar of sunflower butter, a handful of test batches and a day later, they had cracked the code. Sun Cups were born. Being a peanut butter cup for everyone is no small task. It calls for unseen levels of nut-free, gluten-free, Certified Kosher deliciousness. And being the overachievers they are, the chocolatiers also made their creation organic, using cacao from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. That means the chocolate in Sun Cups comes from farms that look out for their workers and the planet. They wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now these sunflower chocolate sun cups are very interesting for sure. I have never in my life ever tried something like this, it was a all new experience for us all for sure. First time around it was a bit odd tasting, I will admit. But then after awhile it seems all normal and very tasty. It’s not like regular chocolate taste at all. It has that sunflower taste to them.. My favorite were the caramel ones, and my husband loved the mint ones. For sure they are not like any other kind of candies and its like experiencing that new candy bar feeling. However my kids ate these up like crazy, they loved them and never tasted that difference at all. They looks just like those peanut butter cups, but flatter and more. Great quality, taste great, good in ice cream in chunks, or as a frosty!! You can get creative with them as well, we did of course! Company ships amazing fast and great customer service!
