About them: The Ajmera family, who built and operated Canada’s leading specialty bread bakery, was making millions of bagels and croissants/day when they sold the bakery in the early 1990′s. After 20 years in business, Sam Ajmera decided it was time to retire. By mid 2004, the family decided to get back into the bakery business: the new bakery was called fgf brands and here started the creation of a 21st century, progressive food company.
My family and I had the pleasure of receiving several of the fgf brands Stonefire Flatbreads to review. We received the Stonefire 12 oz Artisan Pizza Crust, a 2 pack of Stonefire 14 oz Artisan Thin Pizza Crust and a 2 pack of Stonefire 14 oz Artisan Flatbread. These Stonefire Flatbreads are made using a unique technology that reproduces the intense heat of the tandoor oven. This makes a delicious bubbly, charred texture that is the main characteristic of these authentic flatbreads. My girls and I really enjoyed these! Not only do they taste great, but they are super easy and convenient when you are trying to make a great tasting meal for your family. The crust cooks evenly and has a great crispy texture that is perfect for pizzas. I love how fast you can whip up and make a meal with these. They are precooked so take very little time once in the oven. We were able to make several pizzas and some flatbread sandwiches and they were all delicious. They are definitely one of the better flatbreads we have tried and have definitely become our favorite. We will continue to get them because they have such a great taste and texture! My 5 year old is an extremely picky eater and she loves these which says a lot! I definitely recommend trying Stonefire Flatbreads out to see if they meet your families needs! They are great tasting and a great quality brand!
