Sticky Icky Booger Bugs Review

bAbout Them: Sticky Icky Booger Bugs is the tale of a boy’s battle with cystic fibrosis as he attempts to avoid the hospital. The main character is Kory, who is just like any other kid. He loves recess, playing soccer, and exploring his neighborhood with his best friend. The book shows how with every puff, cough, and sneeze, Kory keeps the sticky icky booger bugs away so he can have fun every day.

Great CF Book
Great CF Book

This great book for kids Sticky Icky Booger Bugs by Sherry Frith is very inspiring. For someone who is a carrier and having some kids in my family that actually have this, because both are carriers. We also have a close friend that deals with this on a daily basis as well. My cousin who has it, is always on the pic line and taking multiple pills daily for it, he is pretty much sick most the time, while our friend has it, buts gets sick rarely on it. Sadly most drugs out there are mostly test drugs per person because of the rarity and lack of testing on it. There is all sorts of levels on how bad you can get this, and it’s not cool at all. This book is very good for kids learning on what they have and how to cope with it. We learned so much on it, crazy and sad what these poor lives deal with on a daily basis, not something you would ever imagine believe me. Love how colored and detailed the pictures are, and how detail in wording it is, for parents to read to adults. Recently we found out my husbands boss’s first-born has this and they found out once he was born, of course this is something you wouldn’t know tell the baby is born, unless you paid thousands to pay to get tested. Anyways if you know someone around you who deals with such a thing, get them this book for their kid, and great lesson for adults dealing and coping with this.
