This feeder takes about half of a bag of feeder. I often see birds, and squirrels fighting over this feeder. It hands off a pretty far limb so the squirrels need to jump quite far, and knocks some the feed onto the ground for the small birds and they enjoy it much. This is not only a feeder it also will send off a electrocution from the coils around the container freaking the squirrels out and I noticed after about 5 times they finally get the clue. We only have a few that we see frequent, and some babies. But we don’t buzz them, that’s wrong. The remote is nice, if you have a window you can see through and see the feeder you can hit it. The distance is pretty far with the remote so that’s nice. My FIL took this and he just uses it as a feeder only he keeps it off and lets the babies and mom enjoy some food. If you hate squirrels then this is right up your alley!
