I received a Sony Pictures Animation Collection for review. It came with 10 dvd movies and a lunchbox gift set. The movies include The Pirates!, Surf’s Up, Hotel Transylvania, Hotel Transylvania 2, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, The Smurfs, The Smurfs 2, Open Season and Arthur Christmas. This is an awesome movie collection for families and makes a great gift this holiday season! The lunchbox is metal and makes a great school lunch box, a nice storage box or just a nice collectors box. It has a bunch of fun characters from the films. The movies are together and don’t take up much room which is nice and this collection gives you a great assortment. The Pirates! has a feature run time of 88 minutes and is about a band of misfit pirates and their captain setting sail on the seven seas. There, the captain decides he wants to win the pirate of the year award. Surf’s Up has a running time of 85 minutes and is about a penguin with a passion for surfing. Hotel Transylvania has a feature run time of 91 minutes and is about Dracula and his daughter living in a castle where all monsters can come and be themselves. When his little girl falls for a human nothing is the same for Dracula and his castle. Hotel Transylvania 2 is 89 minutes long and the second installment where Dracula’s daughter and her human husband have a baby. They are worried life surrounded by monsters is not the place to raise their child so they contemplate moving to the city to live among the other humans. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs has a run time of 90 minutes and is about Flint Lockwood making an invention that puts his town on the map. His invention creates food that rains down on the city. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 has a run time of 95 minutes and is about Flint’s invention creating food animals. He must stop them in this second movie. The Smurfs is 103 minutes long and about an evil wizard chasing the smurfs away from their world and into the world of humans. They must find a way back to their world before the wizard finds them. The Smurfs 2 is 105 minutes long and about Gargamel, the evil wizard, kidnapping Smurfette from the smurf village and takes her to Paris. The other smurfs must work together to find Smurfette and bring her home. Open Season has a feature running time of 86 minutes and is about Boog, a bear that has been in captivity, being set free into the wild where he has no idea what he is doing or how to survive. With the help of a crazy deer named Elliot, he survives not only the wild, but the open hunting season. Arthur Christmas is 97 minutes long and is about Santa’s son Arthur setting out on an adventure to deliver the final Christmas gift to the last child. This is an adventure packed movie collection! It has hours of animated entertainment that is sure to make a great gift this holiday season!
