After my house was broken into and robbed a while back, I have been hesitant to leave my home and stay anywhere overnight. I don’t know what the probability is that it would happen again, but it still worries me. I was pretty excited to get the Samsung SmartCam PT Camera for review and to include in our 4th of July Gift Guide. I was not only excited with everything it had to offer but also excited because I knew I would be able to go to my parents for our annual 4th of July celebration, without having to worry about leaving my home for the night. Setting it up is easy. You just place it where you want in your home. The Pan and Tilt feature gives you full visibility of the area in your home you place it. Once you have it situated you download the app on your smartphone or tablet and within minutes you are ready to use it! I set mine up in my living room in a spot that shows me both doors and the main windows of my home. It also shows me a bit of my dining room which is nice because I have my dog kennels in their and can keep an eye on my pups while away from home too. I love that this is full HD and through wi-fi so I can get a clear view of my home wherever I am. It works at my parents house, when I am at the store, and wherever else I go and I love that feature! Not only does it work great during the day time, but it has a phenomenal night vision feature. It gives you a clear image in about a 16 foot area around the SmartCam. It has a Motion Zone Select feature which gives you real time motions and activities in your home and has a two way talk which is great for talking with my dogs even when I am gone. My dogs are terrified of fireworks so while we are gone they are inside and in their kennels. I am able to talk with them and calm them down wherever I am. I love the Event Notifications too. At any time the SmartCam detects motion or sounds it will send you an alert. This is great so you don’t have to constantly watch your device. This SmartCam PT Camera is amazing and I highly recommend it. It is a must have if you want some assurance when you leave your home. This 4th of July I know I will have peace of mind when I go to our family celebration because of it!
