Shrek: The Musical

About Them:  The greatest fairy tale never told comes to life as never before in DreamWorks’ Shrek The Musical, the highly acclaimed Broadway production based on the smash-hit movie. Called a “triumph of comic imagination” (Elysa Gardner, USA Today) that “never stints on spectacle or laughs” (David Rooney, Variety), Shrek The Musical received eight 2009 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, winning Best Costume Design of a Musical (Tim Hatley) and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Show Album.

DreamWorks sent over Shrek. Mind this movie is NOT anything like the movies, it’s like a live musical show you would pay to go see in public with your family. The movie is very quick and very fast paced, fun and interesting. My kids didn’t really get into it, they kinda got bored of it. I however thought it was quite interesting. Its not terribly long, and colorful. The people are done out well, lots of makeup, clothes look good, and represents Shrek well. The animals in this show crack me up, like they do in the kid movies. This is a DVD a combo available for both player types. Great movie for people who absolutely love musical movies, and this one is even great for kids too!
