About them: In 1914, Assunta Cantisano left Italy from the port of Naples, bound for America with little more than her family’s pasta sauce recipe to her name. Assunta and Giovanni stayed true to their Italian upbringing and put down their roots – literally. Their own backyard garden would ultimately inspire their fresh tomato sauce and delicious meals, planting the humble beginnings of RAGÚ.
My family loves absolutely loves when I made my homemade pasta. I can spend hours in the kitchen making my special pasta sauces and putting together a nice yummy pasta. Unfortunately once the kids go back to school our lives get busier with school, after school activities and sports and everything in between and I am not always able to spend hours cooking a family meal. Usually quick and easy is the way to go and that is why we love RAGÚ Sauces! They are already made and ready to go so make meals quick and easy. The best part is they taste just as good as homemade sauce! I had the pleasure of receiving three different 23 oz jars of Homestyle RAGÚ Pasta Sauce for review and to include in our Back to School Gift Guide. These are all Thick and Hearty. They don’t contain any artificial colors, flavors or high fructose corn syrup. My oldest two kids love the Thick and Hearty Four Cheese Pasta Sauce the best. I prefer any with meat so the Thick and Hearty Meat was my favorite of the three. The Thick and Hearty Traditional has a classic pasta sauce flavor and most closely resembles my own sauce. These are good in pastas and we have even used it as a pizza sauce. The seasonings are delicious and these pasta sauces make each and every bite you take delicious and savory. These are a must have for when you are short on time and they make great delicious meals! The Homestyle Pasta Sauces by RAGÚ are perfect for your back to school needs and I highly recommend them! I received a really nice Pot Holder too which made cooking my pasta even better! It is thick and celebrates RAGUs 80 years in business! If you haven’t tried RAGÚ I highly recommend it and if you have and like it as much as we do I encourage you to stock up for this upcoming school year!
