I had the pleasure of receiving a couple bulk sized bags of Santa Barbara Chocolate for review. The first was a 3 lb bag of Hispaniola Rainforest Organic Dark Chocolate. They came in round chips. I am not a fan at all of dark chocolate and generally don’t eat anything made with dark chocolate at all. I went ahead and tried this Organic Dark Chocolate and it was surprisingly good. It was rich in flavor but didn’t have that burnt and bitter taste that I think most dark chocolates have. I still couldn’t eat it plain but I did use it for baking and it was really good. The chips melt down nicely and taste great in cookies, as a topping and more. The second bag I received was a 3 lb bag of King of the Belgians Milk Chocolate. These came in round chips too and were a semi sweet chocolate. I absolutely loved these. I could just sit and eat these plain they are so good. I used them to make chocolate covered strawberries and they turned out amazing. Both of these chocolates melt nicely and come in nice big bulk sized bags. This makes them great for eating them as they are and baking with them! If you are looking for a nice bulk chocolate that is affordable and delicious, Santa Barbara Chocolate may be right for you!
