My kids and I were so excited to see Rock Dog and even more thrilled when we received our own DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD copy for review. It is PG rated and has a feature running time of 90 minutes. Bodi is a Tibetan Mastiff who doesn’t want to follow in his families footsteps. He wants to become a rock-and-roll star so he sets off to pursue this dream. Despite the dangers that lurk, he sets off and finds his all time hero and rock legend Angus Scattergood in hopes that he will mentor him so he can make his own mark in rock history. When his home village is threatened he must not only save home but become the rock dog he always dreamed he would be. I thought this movie was cute and my girls thought it was funny. They love the story line and all the fun and unique characters. The special features were pretty nice too. They include Mic Check: Casting the Voices, “Glorious” Music Video, Rock Dog and Roll: Exploring the Music, Finding the Fire: The Making Of Rock Dog and A Rockin’ New World: Animating Rock Dog. This is a great family film and really captures the importance of being able to follow your dreams while remaining loyal to your friends and family. If you are looking for a great family movie then this is the one for you! It came out on Digital HD on May 9th and comes out on Blu-Ray, DVD and On Demand May 23rd so preorder your copy today!
