Dr. Lee received his BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and his MD from Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Lee has done his share of writing throughout his academic and professional life. All of the writing required by medical school and physician training took its toll. After trying just about every pen and failing to find a truly comfortable one, Dr. Lee was determined to create his own. Known to even fire his own clay pens, Dr. Lee has experimented with just about every combination of shape, texture, material, and ink mixtures in search of the optimum combination for the “Perfect Pen.” Dr. Lee’s Story: As a medical student, I wrote volumes in terms of notes. In medicine, medical notes are all hand written. I averaged 20 full pages of hand written notes a day… day in and day out for years. You can imagine how my hand kept cramping up! I spent a lot of time and money looking for a comfortable pen. After trying what I believe to be every pen out there, I failed painfully to find even one! I was frustrated because most pens were not designed for comfort at all. The few that were listed as “comfort pen” were obviously mislabeled. I was determined to create my own pen – one that would meet my expectations of comfort. Since then, I have spent over eight years to create the first truly comfortable pen. The pursuit of pen comfort became a hobby… no, an obsession during this eight year period. I dedicated an inordinate amount of my own time and resources in this endeavor. Luckily, I am blessed with an extremely patient and understanding wife – our garage is full of various machinery, pen prototypes, and pen materials collected over the years! My drive to create the ultimate comfort pen led me to go as far as to study the structure of the human hand using X-ray and researching the attachment and function of hand muscles to design the perfect grip. I got these Pens today. WOW, they are so light, comfy and write well. They are so nice, makes great for people who write alot during the day. This pen, will make you just want to write everyday. Great for kids in school. I am a hard writer, and my fingers would dent up and hurt alot. This pen would of been great then for me to use.. I am so happy this company let me have the opportunity to review these pens! The grip stuff kinda reminds me of the fishing stuff you use, when fishing, same kinda color and softness. So if fish love it, so will you. The liquid in the pens, are great too, doesn’t stop in mid wording. In general these pens are great for everyone!
