[Review] Little Looster: making potty training, and going potty one step easier!

My bio reads something like this, Oregon native, attended the University of Oregon. I moved to Southern California where I dabbled in a little acting. a nurse on ER for the first 2 seasons as a day-player and worked on several other shows including Seinfeld, Melrose Place, Friends, Saved by the Bell, Models Inc, The Cable Guy, and Superman. In 1996 I moved to San Francisco with my husband-to-be and worked in the financial industry. In 1999 my boss at Oracle asked me to join him in starting-up a little company you might have heard of….Salesforce.com. I went with Marc Benioff as his EA to help start a new concept in software…cloud computing. Things went well. After moving back home for our 2nd and 3rd kids I went back to work as Tony Robbins’ EA. That was truly a motivating stop as well. I could go on if you were really that interested – but I think you get the picture. My next big-move was my Little Looster and that brings us to today. Little Looster LLC was initially a Portland, OR based business but is now located in St. Augustine, FL. The Looster Booster itself was conceived and designed by Monica Mylet, mommy of 3. She came up with the design and need after parenting 3 kiddos through the potty training process. Almost every aspect of the Looster’s life cycle from birth-of-concept to design and manufacturing was completed by Oregon based companies. For all the years when those little legs don’t reach the floor. The Little Looster, a booster for the Loo is about to change the way we potty train. The perfect potty stool.

The Little Looster

My husband, Phil was tired of hearing me complain about having 3 stools under our toilet in order to give our little ones any sense of comfort or confidence. I dreamed of my “wrap-around” ultimate stool often. Finally one day, Phil, sat me down in our living room with cardboard, tape and an exacto-knife and basically told me to put my money where my mouth was. As you can imagine…not very sturdy and very difficult to clean!! One of our first versions – but NOT my vision in my head was something that the end user would screw together (saving my shipping cost) – but still not sturdy enough and the edges were too rough. The next version had 5 bigger legs. This was still not what I wanted so I went to Casey @ Elevation Lab in Portland and he helped me find my true vision of the Little Looster that you all love today. Thank you for your patience…the Little Looster was over 3 years in the making to hopefully make your day a little easier.

We Got ours, and I was so stoked to get it, when I did open it from the huge box. The first words out of my husbands mouth was thats not going to fit into our toilet. I was a little worried to, when have such small space between, sink, toilet, and shower. Well sure enough it fit and still gave us room to go potty and put under while not in use. My first born son Malakai is a special needs guy, he doesn’t really walk on his own yet, so we do most the work for him. This looster has helped my son go potty on his own. We help him climb up and he does the rest. He is a 3 year old, but the weight of a 1 year old, due to having a hole in his heart and his genetic disorder. So we try to find anything we can to help him, try to do things on his own. We also use this for therapy for my son. I know right its for bathroom use only, but we use it for standing while washing hands, and use it to help him learn about stepping. Like stepping up stairs. We are remolding our whole upstairs, so the boys dont see the upstairs alot, except for potty and bath time. Oh which by the way, I use the looster to sit on while boys are bathing. Our looster gets 4 uses out of it. This product is such a great idea and investment. Not to mention the product is light weight, and has handles on the bottom. My youngest son, keeps hiding his toys under it. Winston is in that phase of hiding things, Ugh. Every mom needs a looster for there kid(s). Its just so worth the price and worth the use of it! I was so thrilled to use this product. I love my Looster!
