[Review] FlipFlop Wines

With flipflop wines, we have embraced the movement toward individualistic expression, instead of manufacturing wines into some cookie-cutter style that’s all the rage. Our goal is to craft expressive, well-balanced wines that evoke just what the grapes inside intended, without being over-wrought or over-explained, and that can be enjoyed at any occasion. While working at an organic vegetable farm in the Mt. Shasta region of California, David discovered the art of grape growing. After planting a small vineyard on the farm, he was fascinated with wine, from managing the vineyard to tasting the fruits of his labor. Inspired to learn more, David attended the University of California at Davis first to study viticulture, and then added  winemaking coursework as well. David honed his winemaking skills at well-known California wineries including Artesa and Davis Bynum. In 2009, David began working on the wines that would become the inaugural vintage of flipflop. His goal is to stay true to each wine’s varietal character, and to make great tasting wines that don’t break the bank.

I got these 2 lovely wines to try as a second product review. The first batch that was sent to me was so vinegary and just didn’t taste right and made me feel horribly sick. It wasn’t the company’s fault at all, I think it was the travel here that made it ucky. The company was so sweet and sent me another batch to try and this one was much better. They are the sweetest company around. I see them off and on at Haggens here in WA, I hardly ever see them anywhere else. They also are great prices and also the best part they are caps instead of corks. So no more of the flat wine the next day cause the cork broke or wont go in, cause this company uses caps so the wine tastes like it did the first time you open it. These ones got split between me and my brother in law and I like how they tastes. He like cold win I like warm wine like my husband. I don’t know about you but Flip Flop wines is the bomb its so good my favorite so far is the Pinot Grigio it tastes like apples and its just perfect. The wines are at high levels of alcohol % so you know that you are getting your moneys worth. I personally thing lower % wine is not that great not because of the part of drunk but because its just simply better tasting. Plus you wont get that nasty hangover headache the next day because its higher up!
